March Scavenger Hunt Photos

Here are my photos for the March Scavenger Hunt from the list compiled by Kathy at Postcards from the P.P
Photobucket

a collection - a few of my hearts
a fancy gate - a property entrance taken near an estuary
a lamb - two for one! Taken on my drive through the countryside.
a lion - near the entrance to a motel
a rainbow - an older photo - I tried chasing rainbows this month, but no luck!
a ring - drawer pull on a music cabinet in the parlour
a shadow - of a Hellebore peeking through the front window
an empty chair - outside cafe seating taken from a walkway above
peeling paint - on a farm building door
something as old as you - my baby fine hair from a photo
something sentimental - a biscuit barrel which was a wedding present to my parents
something green - leg coverings in a store window!

  1. I'm glad you posted the list, I was wondering about the hairline. My mind went to "as old as my tongue and a little older than my teeth" :)
You know, the upside of your knee is that you are noticing the details of Spring emerging in your own place :) Lovely pics over the past few days.

  4. Hi Mo ~ :) I thought I'd better put the list to give some explanation! I wasn't all that pleased with my photos as they all seem rather dull looking, but being stuck at home for awhile has interfered with my usual gallivanting! Luckily the coolness of the weather has slowed down Spring so it's not whipping by. Thanks - glad you like the photos.

Hi Flighty ~ Thanks ~ I started out the month pretty well, but this knee business has slowed me down! Anyway, it's the best I could do at this point. Even my rainbow photo is grey!!

Hi Kathy ~ Yes, when I saw those green clad legs in the window, I had an "AHA" moment. Little did I know then that I would be sporting a red sore leg as the month wore on! I loved your photos! They're so bright and interesting. Mine, I think, are kind of 'blah'...maybe next month!

Thanks Hilary ~ Not as great as I would have liked, but best I could do under the circumstances :) Hopefully I'll be springing about more in April :)

  5. Love the legs in tights Glo! Oh, and the piece of Devonware. I've a collection of that up in my loft. I do love it, but haven't the room to display at the moment. Such a pretty hellebore too. x

  6. Oh your Helibore shadow picture is beautiful. The Devonwear is nostalgic for me too.

  11. Wow you found real lambs - I'm very impressed, the one time I can regret living in a city - not enough lambs about!

  12. Hi Helsie and The Girl ~ Thanks for dropping by and leaving a comment. Yes, it is fun, and I'm already wondering what I'll find for April's list. I was fortunate in finding a real lamb (or two)...it took a bit of searching!
