January Photo Scavenger Hunt

Making Days Count 30

A choice I made at the beginning of the year was to join in on the monthly photo Scavenger Hunt challenge, thanks to Louise for pointing me to Postcards from PP.

I have made a collage of my twelve photos as follows (click to enlarge):

A Harzel update photoshoot from today, and again for those who don't know, Harzel is the tree I've chosen to watch for The Tree Year ... Harzel is the combination of Harry (from Harry Lauder Walking Stick Tree) and Hazel Corkscrew (another name it is known by):

It was lovely to have a blue sky background, even when the clouds blew over ... I just missed an eagle that flew off the top of the tree in the bottom right photo!

  4. That's a terrific montage for the scavenger hunt! Good to see Harzel and more birds as well.
I'm not keen on hellebores but that one sure makes for a lovely header at this time of year. Flighty xx

  6. Thanks Mo ~ now that the sun is shining occasionally, the photos brighten up a bit!

Welcome Caroline ~ thanks for your comment and I've been by yours to check out your larch and all of its amazing visitors!

Thanks John ~ I look forward to seeing your collection!

Hi Flighty ~ Thanks :) I have been trying to see if there is any change at all in Harzel over the month...but nothing I can notice yet. Hellebores are also known as the Christmas Rose, so that appeals to me. They have a subtle old world look to me, and it's just so nice to see anything blooming during the winter. A few primulas, the Hellebores, and my winter jasmine are in bloom. Glad you like the header...thought it was time to melt the ice!

Hello Crafty Green Poet ~ Thanks :) I'm hoping to notice some change in Harzel as the weather warms up. His little tiny buds are hardly noticeable!
