Making Days Count 32
After discovering that Harzel had a heart yesterday, and after reading the comments, I noticed today that the lane leading to his location, seemed to be paved with yellow brick ;)
I found Harzel's heart when I downloaded the photos yesterday, so today I had to see it in person. It was hard to find although he was wearing it on his sleeve. He has quite a few limbs, though. When I did locate it, nearly at my eye level, I was surprised to find that it was only about one inch in height. Nevertheless, a heart is a heart and his is just right.
As the day began, the morning sun bathed the mountain snow with a pink blush. This evening a golden sunset replaced the blue.
One little Red-breasted Nuthatch perched in the tree for the longest time in the late afternoon, looking up as if it was contemplating the universe. Perhaps it was.
After Photo Scavenger Hunt enthusiasts had completed January's challenge, Kathy at Postcards from the P.P. posted the February list. One of the objects is a Newspaper Headline, so for fun, I created this to remind those interested to get hunting:
That looks to be a welcoming lane to walk down, and Harzel sure has a great vista to look at.
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely when we get the chance to look at birds like your nuthatch for longer periods than usual.
Your newspaper is brilliant! Have fun finding and photographing all the objects during the month! Flighty xx
He he he. I was thinking how much baking you will have to do to feed all the Munchkins.
ReplyDeleteFeb list looks challenging.
I think Harzel has shown you his heart because he knows you love him Glo ;)
ReplyDeleteThe little Red-breasted Nuthatch is so sweet!
I actually thought that was a genuine newspaper article at first, it was very imaginative.
I really enjoyed the sonnet on the earlier post, you are so clever.
Glo, you are so clever! The newspaper article is just wonderful. x
ReplyDeleteHi Flighty ~ Thanks ~ the lane does have a lovely golden hue to it, even in real life, and the view is especially nice if the cloud formations are interesting or if there is a blue sky. Today it was grey, but that's OK too. Now you can make your own newspaper after reading the blog today :) The Photo Scavenger Hunt should be fun. I had a perfect photo opp tonight, but didn't have my camera...I'll go back, though.
ReplyDeleteHi John ~ Perhaps I'll have to hang little heart shaped cookies off Harzel on Valentines day for any munchkins walking by! Yes the list looks like it might be fun though.
Hi ShySongBird ~ Aww, do you think so? It's good to find the heart just in time for Valentine's Day! Thanks for your kind comments re the newspaper article and the poem :)
Hi Louise ~ Thanks so much :) Now you can write your own newspaper article as I have posted the link!
I can't believe I missed Harzel's heart when I read your post the first time! You tend to attract hearts. How lovely is that! x
ReplyDeleteThanks Louise ~ Harzel's heart was a happy discovery :)
ReplyDeleteI've never seen my name in the newspapers before now! Isn't that a great thing to play with!
