The 'Pane' of Separation

This talk of frogs has reminded me of a love story. A couple of years ago, I heard a little croaking sound coming from the area of the kitchen window box, and each night it would be the same. One night I happened to see something on the window pane, and there he was ~ a little tree frog ~ and he was looking into the eyes of the little frog ornament (just his size) that was hanging off a tulip bowl on the inside window ledge. By the time I got my camera and took a photo, he had moved farther up the window pane. It was so bittersweet, much like many other love stories, I suppose. She still looks out of the window, and I wonder if she waits for him to reappear.

Frogs are popular at the moment! I see a sign every day on my way to work (at certain times of the year) that looks like this!

(Just copy and past the huge url and you will see what I mean!)
My husband won't drive that way during the 'frog season' as he says it would be impossible not to squish one of the little fellows as the cross the road!

I do hope your pining frog found love!

  3. Daffy ~ I felt the same! I took quite a few photos at the time, but the glare from the window pane reflected back on most of the photos. He used to come each night and look at her and yet, there was nothing I could do...I thought of putting the ornament outside in the window box, but that might have really confused him, so I let things be. It was rather sweet.

I couldn't access the URL either, but can imagine the scene as thousands of frogs crossed the road following their instincts!

Flighty ~ I was glad to get a photo of them together ~ and I do have a vivid imagination ;)
