Also today, I noticed a few cherry blossoms opening up, however they are too high to take a close-up. Here's how the buds look at eye level ~ it won't be long :)

I have enjoyed reading Daffy's recent snoring post, and have learned quite a bit about wood pigeons in the process ;)
I love Daffy's word pictures, too! The roses you purchased look ethereal in that light. What a thoughtful gift early in your springtime :-)
ReplyDeleteThey are such lovely roses!
ReplyDeleteI always find Daffy's entries so vividly written. xx

I'll try and get a good photograph today and another when it's at full bloom for you.

ReplyDeleteI tried to edit the previous comment I made, because I had a typo in there that was an odd one, but I ended up removing the whole comment because I didn't see how to edit it...
ReplyDeleteNikki~ Ethereal is a lovely way to describe the roses, as they did have that quality about them. Thank you :) My friend was thrilled with them which pleased me. She has a way with flowers, and can transform any bouquet to an exquisite arrangement. I can imagine her sitting in your rose garden surrounded by those beautiful flowers and thinking she was in paradise :)
Flighty ~ Yes, thanks...they are lovely. Daffy is a natural, which is so appealing :) with a delightful sense of humour.
Daffy ~ Blushing suits you ~ shows you're in the pink! I'm looking forward to seeing photos of your cherry tree. It sounds like yours and mine are at a similar stage, so it will be fun to compare their blossoms/fruit :)
What lovely blossom. Would it have been damaged by the snow? x
ReplyDeleteHi Louise ~ I hope the blossom hasn't suffered, although I know a few blossom trees had branches broken where they had more/heavier snow. Some places had 8-12" fall overnight! I will take a photo of the blossom again soon, because I must admit when my cherry tree comes into blossom, I'm just amazed at its beauty!
