Guess what?!

As you can probably tell from my voice in the next video ~ I was rather ticked that another snowstorm hit today when the forecast was for rain. Normally, I would take this week off, but because I'm changing jobs next Monday, I was hoping to get some finalizing done, so that my replacement would have an easy transition ~ However safety comes first, so after doing some school banking and mail pickup, and taking a quick look at the cold uninviting snow-covered empty school, I turned for home ~

My car windshield covered with slushy snow when I returned from the bank:

  1. I dunno, Glo, could be that exclamation point in your title that gave it away ;-) Happy nesting at home!

  3. Hi Nikki ~ LOL ~ I am staying home until the sun comes out and melts the icy roads! Nesting sounds good :)

Flighty ~ So far today ~ no snow, however the grader had left another ledge of ice that my son cleared off. Now we just have to wait for sun! I saw a picture of it on the forecast for this afternoon, and if it shows its face, I might pop into school! Otherwise, using Nikki's term, I'm nesting :)

  4. Can't believe all the snow you are getting. Don't suppose you ever go sledding?

  7. Oh yes, glad you went home. No use getting stuck in that mess, although it does look pretty from home.

I agree with Nikki - nesting sounds good.

  8. Roomie ~ Your sledding question brought back memories of when the boys were young ~ we lived near a huge hill and the kids enjoyed their toboggans ~ I remember us all cascading in a heap on top of each other at the bottom. Nowadays, it seems more like work! Maybe I should rectify that idea! I think the toboggan is in the attic!

Thanks Flighty :) The snowman is getting a bit of his own medicine ~ and I realized that the letters from Happy New Year could be found in peaceful thoughts :)

Selby ~ Thanks and a very Happy New Year to you and yours, too :)

Liv ~ I didn't go in the next day either ~ it was too icy looking, but I HAD to go in the next day (Wed.) otherwise I would have been so behind getting ready to leave the job site!! It is pretty still because there's so much snow...but at least we can see roads now.
