Pictureless!

It was wonderful having my sons up for Christmas with girlfriends ~ having 4 extra people staying over for a few days makes life interesting! Our turkey from the farm was amazing! The meal was so yummy and with those extra hands, the clean-up was done by the others ~ not me :) Since my 'guests' were all in the 20's and 30's, there were some entertaining conversations. We all had fun playing 'Cranium' Now that they've all gone, I've been washing sheets and towels ~ and eating leftover turkey dinners!

However, cleaning up became a bit of a problem when my central vacuum cleaner power nozzle broke a prong! Anyway to make a 2 day story short, I have replaced the parts needed after making two trips. I must have gained strength from digging out the driveway, because when I opened the blinds on the front door, they broke and came crashing down around me...so I had to replace them too! Tonight I tried to get my head around the idea of going into work tomorrow ~ at least it will be quiet as the students don't return until Jan. 5 when I'll start my new job.

I haven't even had time to take photos ~ can you believe that!

Happy New Year, everyone ~ I'll try and get some photos tomorrow!

  1. It seems funny reading a post here that doesn't have any pictures!
However it's good to see that you had such an enjoyable time.
Have a good week and Happy New Year!xx

  2. I'm glad the household mishaps didn't happen before your guests arrived to add to the chaos! But you probably would've handled it with ease. So you go back to work tomorrow?

  3. Hi Flighty ~ There'll be photos on my next post! Happy New Year, to you too :)

Nikki ~ It seems there is always something to replace, fix or maintain ~ and now there is more snow to shovel ~
I was on my way to work today when the next snow storm hit, so I headed home after going to the bank and to pickup the school mail. Geesh!

  4. I enjoyed reading about your Christmas Day and dinner. It sounds memorable and delicious! As for your new found strength, I hope you will be able to use it for something fun besides shoveling snow! Somehow I could just picture those blinds coming down. Isn't that the way with home ownership?

  5. Hehe, sorry to laugh but the idea of extra strength taking you by surprise and resulting in fallen blinds does strike me as somewhat funny :)

    Blimey I got wordy there.
