As you can probably tell from my voice in the next video ~ I was rather ticked that another snowstorm hit today when the forecast was for rain. Normally, I would take this week off, but because I'm changing jobs next Monday, I was hoping to get some finalizing done, so that my replacement would have an easy transition ~ However safety comes first, so after doing some school banking and mail pickup, and taking a quick look at the cold uninviting snow-covered empty school, I turned for home ~
My car windshield covered with slushy snow when I returned from the bank:

I dunno, Glo, could be that exclamation point in your title that gave it away ;-) Happy nesting at home!
ReplyDeleteI can understand you being ticked off! Let's hope that the New Year brings better weather.
ReplyDeleteTake care and stay warm! xx
Hi Nikki ~ LOL ~ I am staying home until the sun comes out and melts the icy roads! Nesting sounds good :)
ReplyDeleteFlighty ~ So far today ~ no snow, however the grader had left another ledge of ice that my son cleared off. Now we just have to wait for sun! I saw a picture of it on the forecast for this afternoon, and if it shows its face, I might pop into school! Otherwise, using Nikki's term, I'm nesting :)
Can't believe all the snow you are getting. Don't suppose you ever go sledding?
ReplyDeleteI do like the header message, and your snowman avatar! xx
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, Glo :)
ReplyDeleteWishing all the best...
Oh yes, glad you went home. No use getting stuck in that mess, although it does look pretty from home.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Nikki - nesting sounds good.
Roomie ~ Your sledding question brought back memories of when the boys were young ~ we lived near a huge hill and the kids enjoyed their toboggans ~ I remember us all cascading in a heap on top of each other at the bottom. Nowadays, it seems more like work! Maybe I should rectify that idea! I think the toboggan is in the attic!
ReplyDeleteThanks Flighty :) The snowman is getting a bit of his own medicine ~ and I realized that the letters from Happy New Year could be found in peaceful thoughts :)
Selby ~ Thanks and a very Happy New Year to you and yours, too :)
Liv ~ I didn't go in the next day either ~ it was too icy looking, but I HAD to go in the next day (Wed.) otherwise I would have been so behind getting ready to leave the job site!! It is pretty still because there's so much snow...but at least we can see roads now.
