  1. Cute ducks and a wonderful sunset.
Are turtles a common or rare sight there? If it's the latter you must have been well pleased to see it! xx

  3. Whoops ~ I deleted my own comment...
    Well, here it is again...

Hello, Flighty ~ and yes the ducks were very cute. The sunset was quite spectacular, and a lovely end to the day, and the end of May! Happy to share the day with you. :)

  4. Whoops, again ~ forgot to mention the turtles ;)

I know there are turtles in the park, but it was someone pointing out the one hidden in the lily pads that I found interesting. Also, someone was saying that the one I took swimming was a baby turtle. I really wanted to try and photograph a dragonfly which were zipping all over the lily pad area, and in my excitement, nearly ended up in the drink!

  5. They look so sweet with their soft downy feathers. I liked getting a slightly wider view with the pretty reflections in the water.

  6. Thanks Nikki ~ They ducklings were sweet all snuggled up together ... that's what made me think of Nestling Down as a play on words for a title :) Thanks for mentioning the reflections in the water...sometimes I get so focussed on one thing, it's easy to not see the bigger picture :)

  7. Just want you to know that I'm not well and so my comments are pretty pants at the moment and my 'puter at home won't let me play the little video thingy so I'll just imagine lots of turtles and ducks. I typed Durtles (Tucks?)at first as I wasn't sure which should lead the pack!

  10. Daffy ~ Sorry you are not feeling well....and can't see the video ... I'll put up some photos so you can see the tucklings and durtle. Loved your double post...made me laugh out loud! Hope you are better soon. (hugs)

Hi Roomie ~ Thanks :) Photo hunts are great fun, and help savor the moment, especially animals of all shapes and sizes, and sunsets!
June has come very quickly, but somehow the rain decided to come with it...nevermind, everything smells fresh :)

Oh! Oh! Oh! I found some ducks too! Do get a bigger prize? :o) Oh sorry, the ducks weren't hidden. :o)
Thanks for that Glo, that was really kind of you and worth it might I add as they are indeed images to make you say "ahhhhhhh" :o)

  12. Hi Daffy :) Yay, you found the turtle. Would you like an elephant something for a prize??

You're funny and make me smile :)

  13. Well elephants are grand Glo but if I made you smile then that is prize enough for me. :o) Have a great night/day/morning/evening. :o)

  15. Lots of smiles (I seem to always start with smiles - the office must be cottoning on by now that I'm obviously not doing something that's work related ... I never smile so much ! )

I have more than a couple of entries to put up; here, when I walk along my canal - there are so many gosling and ducklings about... and they are so cute. I could sit and watch them all day (which probably explains why my neck is a brighter shade of red than the pale and pasty white it usually is)

(I know it's not -my- canal... but I like to pretend it is; it's one of my happy places)

And more sunsets! I love the reflection of the setting sun in water. It's pretty incredible.
Thank you for sharing and all the smiles
