Another Cheesy Post - Eek 2!

The piece of cheese which seemed to have moved was GONE, the next time I looked! Step 3: Set the mousetrap with cheese.

Flighty suggested it might be "mice" rather than a mouse, but of course he was just kidding, weren't you Flighty? Because if there's more than one, I'm moving out!

Nikki was wondering if I'd borrowed the neighbours cat. Not yet, but it may be an option, although I'm not sure if it would want to come in, as I've often shooed it away from the bird feeders.

It the mouse had just walked the plank to 'the peanut butter kerplunk in a bucket', it could have been running free, by now.

But it didn't, so now ....

We can only wait and see what next will transpire in the continuing saga of "The One and Only Mouse" in the house.

  2. Hmmm, maybe you have a picky mouse who, not liking the variety of cheese put out the first time, came back later and ate it anyway. Have you considered a variety platter?

  3. We once caught a mouse in a humane trap. Then drove a few miles down the road to let it loose in the open countryside. A house mouse is a pest, but I still feel reluctant to kill one. I hope you out manoeuvre yours soon! x

  4. Louise's story reminds me of Max. In the maze of cubicles that was my home-from-home several years ago, there was a mail cart that was trained to follow an invisible chemical trail made for it on the ground through the maze. Max would beep when he reached your area so you could pick up your mail and drop off things to be circulated. One day, someone realized Max had run over a mouse. Soon afterwards (besides the mouse traps here and there), Max's "bumper" bore a circle with a slash through it -- at the center of the circle were Mickey-style mouse ears.

Flighty, i certainly hope he was a solo mouse!
Hi Nikki ~ loved your story about Max - seems like a scene from a movie ~ great idea for a movie scene!
Hi Louise ~ yes, I now have a live trap, just in case!
