Beautiful Blue!

The header is a photo I took today of a tranquil spot I found after climbing steps up from the beach. I added some poster edges to the photo. There is a small rose garden near the fence which I will keep an eye on.

Today was beautiful! The seagulls seemed to think so too, as they glided gracefully in the blue.

Next a video and slide show seen from the bluff

I could have walked to the school to see how long it would take, or I could have cleaned up my garden, but did I? No...I took off for the day :)

  1. That looks to be a great place to sit and let the world go by!
Taking off for the day was a good choice if your photos, and what you say, are anything to go by. xx

  2. Glo! That spot is gorgeous! It reminds me of the pool at the Getty Villa. I love how you've captured all the shades of blue. And the trees in this post perfectly complement your blue blue skies. Beautiful! Our long anticipated rain storm is here so our skies are gray.

  3. Flighty ~ It was a peaceful place and I look forward to warmer weather to see what plant life grows around it. It was a beautiful day to be out, that's for sure!

Nikki ~ Thanks :) It was interesting seeing the various shades of blue "develop" when I viewed the blog entry. Well, my brother finally set off this morning (Monday) leaving on the ferry to Port Angeles. Hopefully he'll email me en route and I can check his whereabouts. I'm hoping, for his sake, that the rain has come and gone! Hard for me to picture gray California skies!

  6. I agree with Nikki - thought it reminded me of a familiar image.

I love blue skies and can't believe I spent so long in London without them.

How are your temps at the moment? Ours are varying quite a bit, but today it's near freezing and we have sleet. brrr. Tomorrow will be much warmer and sunny. Confusing indeed.

  7. Best way to spend the day, Glo. Watching the pics and vid made me long for the sea and clear blue skies. Here both the sea and sky are mostly grey.

    Love that header, simply stunning!

  8. Hi Roomie ~ nice to see you've come up for a breath of fresh air!! When I see an eagle, I always wish I had a powerful lens for my camera ~ I spot them everywhere!

Selby ~ Glad to see you enjoyed and shared my beautiful blue day

Liv ~ Yay! You're all moved in :) I remember the pretty photos of Getty Villa ~ We are having lovely weather at the moment ~ still wintry though! The temp is usually freezing first thing, frost on the roof, etc. and then warms up during the day to 8 or so ~ but supposed to be up to 12 C today. Just nice to see the blue sky and sunshine. The little green sprouts of spring and trying to sproing, but are a bit tentative, which is probably wise.

Yolanda ~ It is indeed wonderful to see the blue sea and sky ~ we've had many days of gray and white!! Pleased to know you liked my header :) There's a little garden of roses near the fence, that I will take photos of during the summer.

  11. "sprouts of spring are trying to sproing" Hehe, that's cute.

You're warmer than we are, but this winter is the coldest in 10 years. It may try to sleet on Sunday. On the other hand, last winter on the West coast was brutal wasn't it?

  12. Nic ~ thanks so much for dropping by and sharing some of my sights ~ and also thanks for checking out your snowdrops from another perspective. Very effective photo!

Liv ~ This winter was the coldest and snowiest in 20 years ~ I can't even remember last year. I was too busy digging out this one :)
