Autumn Glow

My oak tree is showing its autumn glory, and yesterday the blue sky background emphasized its colourful foliage.

Nasturtiums add colour to my garden, like this one:

  2. Wonderful! It's one of the reasons why I like autumn so much!
I think that Nasturtiums are a very undervalued flower. xx

  3. The nasturtium is bravely competing against your oak tree.

The trees upstate are peaking but here in Brooklyn are still fairly green, except for a few sensitive ones that have turned yellow. This week is cold at night so I shall keep an eye out for more colors.

  5. Hi Daffy ~ Yesterday was the best day of the weekend for colourful shots. :) Thanks :)

Flighty ~ Autumn splendour was on show this weekend, and definitely appealing. Maple and chestnut trees are also beautiful. Nasturtiums are special aren't they ~ plus they have a lovely scent and taste good :)

Liv ~ It's interesting how the orange colours pop in the garden now, although still have some blue and pink hydrangeas and the tuberous begonias are blooming as well. I'm sure your trees will be changing anytime now, with the chilly nights!

Nikki~ Thanks for your lovely message Nikki ~ glorious colours, indeed, especially with the blue sky in the background!

  7. Fantastic photos. I love the reds and oranges of Autumn. I still have lots of nasturtiums, although I fear a frost will soon knock them back. x
