November Photo Scavenger Hunt

Yes, another month has fled by!  Here are my photos for November, and thanks, once again, to greenthumb at Made with Love for supplying the Scavenger hunt lists.

1 - Gold
On a recent trip to Victoria, my eyes were drawn to a beautifully lit tree covered in golden lights ~ it even had the new moving icicles that are slightly visible on the right.

2 - Five
Five bucketfuls of people on the ferris wheel also located in Centennial Square.

3 - Patterns
A bit of a different take, but I have noticed a pattern emerging - more electric car plug-ins are being set up ~ well, there is a patterned line of holes in the metal post ~

4 - Bread
Here is a pan of homemade bread rolls that I conjured up during the month ~

5 - Happiness :)
Could there be a happier face than this?  It looks happy enough to reach for the sky!

6 - Rain
Fortunately, there wasn't much rain this month ~ at least not on any day I was outside with my camera ~ but it was chilly, so here's a photo of a small waterfall raining down and being frozen mid-drip ~

7 - Traffic
On the drive down to Victoria, light traffic at the traffic light ;)

8 - Boxes
There is a large municipal recycling bin on the way to town where flattened cardboard can be deposited through numerous slits.  Somebody either couldn't or wouldn't flatten their boxes, so left them piled beside it.

9 - Staircase
These are the steps down to, or up from, the beach.  I used to run up these things!

10 - Sunset
An early November sunset captured when I opened my front door  ~

11 - Park
I had a photo of a dog park, but thought this children's play park at the beach was much more colourful ~

12 - Pair
Well, you have a choice of a pair of blurry red barns...

or a pair of gulls, (or is it a four-winged, four-legged flying-feathered freak?)

Here's wishing you all a happy and peaceful December!

  1. Very well done.. as always. I especially like the colourful ferris wheel and the smiling airplane. I noticed that my bathtub smiles at me from time to time from the position I'm in when observing it (ahem.. sitting). Of course I have never considered bringing my camera in with me. ;)

    1. Thanks Hilary ~ I liked that little plane too, and the ferris wheel was pretty, especially from the ground position. Perhaps reconsider taking your camera in the tub next time ~ could always be a dry run ;)

    4. Don't be embarrassed.. or bare assed. Urine good company. I'd never consider you a potty pooper. ;)

  3. Another enjoyable Scavenger Hunt post and photos. I bet those bread rolls tasted every bit as good as they look, and the best photo has to be the happy faced aeroplane.
Thanks, let's hope that we all have a good December. Flighty xx

  4. I love your different take on all the scavenger hunt words. I especially love the sunset - they always seem to be spectacular at this time of year and if you manage to get up early enough the sunrises can be stunning in a different way. I can't believe it will be December tomorrow - you are right - just where did November go.

  5. Lovely photos, Glo! I got a kick out of the happy airplane! And I loved your five buckets of people on the ferris wheel! I had to be creative on rain too, because it hasn't rained when're I am this month either. I like the grouping at the start of your post; it's striking! Have a great weekend!

    1. Thanks Fundy Blue ~ So glad you enjoyed my photos ~ the airplane was a happy find, and the ferris wheel was so pretty, changing colours. I started doing the groupings of photos when I first started scavenger hunting. Now each month I rejuvenate the template I made, and while a little time consuming, it keeps things organized. Loved your photos and interesting documentation as well. Hope your weekend went well as we head into December.

    1. Thanks Lizzy ~ It is interesting to see the electric car plug charging stations popping up ~ I would definitely need to know where they were if I had an electric car, because even though they exist, there's not a multitude of them yet.
