Tasty owls, jumping salmon and island view!

I mentioned in my previous post that I was playing with food ~ I made these heart owls and dropped them off at school for the staff.

The next day, I went off to see how the salmon were running upstream:

and the day after that ~ which was yesterday, I went on a ferry to a nearby island for a change of scenery ~ it was another lovely day. Whenever I see identifying marks on a ship, I look up the specs when I get home. The Tao Star is listed here on the Wisdom Lines site. Here are photos of the BC ferry (Canadian flag), other vessels, and a view from a perfectly placed bench on the island!

  2. The heart owls look delicious. Did you know that Instructables has a section for food? You have to join and pay to see every photo but often the written instructions and the occasional photo are enough.

I have only seen Salmon on video. It must be an amazing sight to see.

Love the panorama - you have become a dab hand with them.

  3. I'd be thrilled to see such a sight as the salmon. Amazing, what do we humans know about anything.

  4. Hi Flighty ~ Yes, the baked goods always go over well when I drop them off at school - a little treat for those who work so hard :) We do have gorgeous scenery here ~ mountains, rivers, ocean, forests, wildlife (even in my own garden! - you name it.

Hi John ~ Chocolate cake is usually a hit wherever you go, and of course I had to play a little bit. I'll check out Instructables, thanks :) The salmon are huge and I was pleased to see them jumping and getting a bit of it on video. The panorama is so easy to do with Windows Live Photo Gallery ~ all I do is upload a few photos that I've taken in sequence, and hit "Make panorama" and for the most part, that's it!

Hi UHDD ~ I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the salmon and at the time there wasn't anyone else on the bridge, so it was one of those moments of just nature and me! Glad you enjoyed the video.
