I think August has gone faster than ever this year! We are finally experiencing a bit of rain today, and feels and looks rather autumnish. Nobody is complaining because the last rain was in June, I think. The sundeck is finally completed ~ just in time for the rain ;) I had to oil a few more boards to finish it off, so hopefully when it clears up again, I'll be able to relax out there.
The other evening I went for a stroll to the beach, and have made a little movie of the event. Certainly nothing as dramatic as Dragon Fire, but very pleasant just the same. I met a couple of pets out for their evening exercise, so you'll see Mollie and Max as well.
The setting sun cast a glow on the maple tree giving a very clear impression that Autumn leaves were indeed touched by 'dragon fire'. ;)
Looked a lovely peaceful evening stroll. You do find great pieces of music as well.
ReplyDeleteThat stroll looks just about perfect to me! Flighty xx
ReplyDeleteJohn, it is a lovely walk, and it would be a good idea to do it every day or evening. It's a perfect mix of walking up hill and down, and there is the sea to sit beside for a break in between :) I found the music through Jamendo, a Creative Commons site, so I've been enjoying listening to some choices. Glad you liked it :)
ReplyDeleteYes, Flighty it is a lovely walk. It takes about 15 mins. or so to get to the beach, and a little bit longer to get back because it's uphill! Always different, lots of birds and flowers, other walkers to say hello to, and of course the ocean with its varying moods.
How lovely to be able to enjoy an evening stroll in such beautiful surroundings, it looked so relaxing although the steps looked quite challenging :)
ReplyDeleteHi ShySongbird ~ Glad you enjoyed my stroll ~ well, the stairs are OK going down ;) Actually at one time, I used to run up them! I'm sure if I did the walk everyday, that could happen again. There is another way up that I can access when the tide is out. A walk along the beach leads to another access, where there is an inclined road. Thanks for coming by :)
ReplyDeleteHello Glo. I have just had a look at the Jamendo site - brilliant, much better selection than Wiki's commons site. I can see me making a new mp3 disc for the car.
ReplyDeleteGlad you liked the Jamendo site, John! I found myself listening to many selections ~ great idea about making an mp3 disk for your car :)
