Spring is beautiful!

The winds have calmed, and, although the temperature is cooler than normal, it was bright and sunny today. It was a pleasure to soak up some warmth and check the garden to make sure plants were still rooted...and had not been blown onto the neighbour's property ;)

Other than a few evergreen branches hanging in deciduous trees, all seem to be well grounded.

The camelia bush is full of buds and bright flowers.

I just love the cherry blossoms, and the whole tree is nearly a mass of white.

  1. I love Spring, and it looks like you have got our weather Glo! Hasn't it been lovely. Now that's a pretty Cherry Blossom tree. I haven't got one of these in my garden, so it's a real treat to see yours. x

  2. Spring sure is beautiful, as your photos show!
I don't see many camelias which is a shame as they are such lovely flowers.
It's always nice to see tree blossom, and it's just appearing here.

  3. It is nice when plants start waking up and putting on their finery to nip out and enjoy the sunshine.

  4. Glo, I can totally smell the fresh slightly green scent of spring, the sun warm on my shoulders, maybe a little breeze as you look up into the branches of the cherry tree... Happy spring :-)

  5. Hi Louise, Yes, the weather is still springlike and it is so pleasant to feel the warmth and notice new growth. I'm glad you are experiencing it too. I'm thrilled to share my cherry tree blossom with you ~ It's a huge tree and it reaches to my back deck, so it's certainly easy to spot! The bees like it, too :)

Hi Flighty ~ Camellias are flourishing now, and in the Woodland Garrdens today, I saw both ivory and pink ones. They don't last long in the heat, but with these cooler temperatures, they seem to be doing well. I'm sorry you don't see them around your area. Glad to hear your buds are blossoming :)

Hi John ~ Yes, it is lovely to see the new growth and blossoms. Such a lovely time of the year!
