...it will be the end of January and time for the monthly Scavenger Hunt... which I have already prepared, but thought I'd better post some other January photos, that either didn't match the categories, or that didn't make the cut!
First a Merganser ~ a perky looking little cutie.
A bright-eyed Killdeer sharing the shoreline with Black Turnstones.
A face peering out of the pebbles and rocks :)
A panorama taken from a point of land on a mild and pleasant January day ~
A large log and its reflection at the edge of a waterway ~
and a view of the mountain as the mist rolls in as the sun sets.
Thanks for dropping by :)
I love the birds and your nature shots are always lovely but I get such a kick of of pareidolia (I posted one as well) - but especially in nature. Well done.
ReplyDeleteThanks Hilary for your comment ~ and for the new vocabulary word ;)
DeleteBeautiful photos - love the face on the rock. Great scenery too.
ReplyDeleteThanks JoAnn ~ pleased you enjoyed my photos.
DeleteA set that lifted my spirits on a damp Monday morning. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteI'm pleased to hear that, Adrian ~ you are most welcome :)
DeleteYou are so lucky to have so much bird life near where you are and with those beautiful surroundings how could you fail to get wonderful photographs.
ReplyDeleteThanks Elaine ~ the weather was also a pleasant surprise as it added to the desire to get outside and take photos!!
DeleteStunning shots! You are now making me feel guilty about the scavenger hunt....I'm not ready yet, yikes this month is going too quickly! Suzy xo
ReplyDeleteThanks Suzy ~ hope you were able to get all your photos for the hunt! It's true that the month has come and gone quite quickly ~
DeleteMost enjoyable pictures as always. Well done on spotting that face on the pebble. Flighty xx
ReplyDeleteHi Flighty ~ Glad you enjoyed the photos ~ it's hard to know whether to look up or down when out taken photos ~ so I guess I was looking down to notice the stone staring back up at me ;) Looking up is good too!
DeleteYou do have some wonderful birds! Oh wow....I loved the last two pics, especially the final one, how dramatic and brooding.xxx
ReplyDeleteThanks Snowbird ~ so happy to know you enjoy my photos :)
DeleteThat killdeer's stripes are so pretty. But I do wish they had a different name!
