  1. Oh dear - all those apples going to waste - they do make a lovely picture though. Shame it wasn't a pear tree with the odd partridge passing by.

    1. Hi Elaine ~ The tree is on someone's private property, but quite close to the road, so it may not be very accessible for apple picking. Yes, a partridge would be rather timely ;) I noticed this same tree filled with golden apples about this time last year as well.

    1. It's always nice to be agreeable :) The sun just brought out the apples' golden hue, so parked at the side of the road for a photo.

    1. That's very true, UHDD ~ there are birds, raccoons and deer that will enjoy these fruits during the winter months. Nature doesn't waste much!

    1. Hi Snowbird ~ It would be interesting to know what they do taste like ~ I'll see if there are any that fall outside the private property and if so, bring it/them home. Chilly is right, but nothing like the weather you are having over there ~ sounds pretty wild.

  5. Lovely golden apples. The remains of apples have been feeding the deer around here, lately.

    1. Hi Hilary ~ Perhaps it is the tree of immortality ~ Norse myth and all ;) I better see if I can scrounge up a fallen one.

  7. How pretty the apples look up there. Our neighbor leaves a few pomegranates on the tree for the birds to enjoy. Once the leaves are gone, the fruit looks rather like Christmas ornaments.
