On the eighth day of December

Nothing much today ~ I was buzzed by the  hummingbird this morning when hanging out the feeder ~ and later I saw two of them chasing each other around, but not able to photograph them.

I took the bubble wrap off as it didn't seem to be helping much, and I couldn't see if it was freezing or how much was left.

Hopefully it will be warmer tomorrow.

    1. Hi Snowbird ~ I guess if you saw hummingbirds in your neck of the woods, it would indeed be a phenomena ~ I've found a youtube video that gives more info on the Anna Hummingbirds ~ I'll include it in today's post.

  3. Like some others I had always assumed Humming Birds were semi tropical or at least needed warm conditions. Is this a full time resident species or a straggler which should have moved on?

    1. Hi John ~ the youtube video I've posted on today's blog will answer the question about these little guys. Full time residents ~ they seem to like my apricot tree in summer (which has only produced one apricot that I've seen in 20 years) ~ I think the sap of the tree appeals to them. Hope you watch the video.
