Now where was I? Oh, yes, the choir boys... thanks for your great guesses and you will be able to tell by the following phone conversation that most of you hit it right on the head ;)
Of course I was leery about making an appointment!
Catching up with Summer as she leaves some colour in the garden ~
but the skies are changing from blue to spockled
and the leaves are definitely showing tints of autumn ...
even the hydrangea is feeling and looking much cooler ~
When I go for my evening walk, I need to remember to head out earlier, as twilight approaches much sooner...
I rescued a Hot Cocoa Rose from shivering and brought it into the warmer kitchen ~
I have noticed the absence of birds and have even found a few unattached feathers!! Now, who might be responsible for this? I saw fur at the bottom of the back garden, took a photo and quickly went out to see what had decided to settle on a mat ....
Aha! Mr. Blue Eyes from the next road over...
A bit of an explanation about my lack of blogging ~ I start reading away at various blogs, get lots of ideas for replying and blogging, proceed to get carried away (see following picture), it gets too late, and nothing gets blogged or commented on! Oh, and I'm still reading many downloaded books on my ereader!
Anyway, this is for John of Midmarsh Jottings who has a Macro Monday puzzle to solve, and I decided to play around in Photoshop this week. Of course, it's understandable that my answer is late because it was sent by...
Congratulations to Uphilldowndale on accomplishing 1000 posts on her terrific blog!
Thanks again to all who read and comment ~ please continue to do so ;)
I love that you phoned the Salon to ask about the Choir Boys :)
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't seem five minutes since you were waiting for Spring, Glo, and here comes Autumn! Hope you had a great summer. Mo
I shall continue to both read and comment here with the greatest of pleasure as long as your posts are as enjoyable as this one! Flighty xx
ReplyDeletethat's so funny about the choir boys!
ReplyDeleteLovely autumnal colours...
I'm a little surprised the receptionist wasn't more accustomed to weird inquiries about the choir boys/pot heads! But she (?) recovered very well :-) I'm nodding as I read about your needing to start your evening walks earlier. Hot Cocoa was one very eye-catching rose I saw this weekend. Such great colour.
ReplyDeleteSome beautiful end of summer shots. I love the way hydrangea change colour.
ReplyDeleteHi Mo ~ Thanks :) I was curious myself as to the story about the choir boys! Summer did take a long time to get here, but August was truly summery and the first week of September also. Now it has chilled off a bit, but the sun is shining brightly today.
ReplyDeleteHi Flighty ~ Thanks for always commenting so thoughtfully :)
Hi Juliet ~ It's funny how one thing leads to another, and the Photo Scavenger Hunt led to the choir boys ;)
Hi Nikki ~ I think that the receptionist was taken aback by my question about choir boys without much else of a prelude to the question. I'm sure she usually expects people requesting appointment times, and I probably threw her for a loop ;) Yes, the Hot Cocoa is a lovely colour and also has a nice fragrance. :)
Hi Hilary ~ Thanks ~ yes it's obvious by the changing colours that autumn has decidedly started to colour the edge of summer :)
Pleased the Choir Boys conundrum is now solved.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean when you get carried away with ideas. I bought a used iPad1 and am enjoying using it so much I find it hard to put down.
Yes, the nights seem to be drawing in rapidly now. Soon be time to switch the air con from chill to warm.
