Signs of Autumn

This wild Autumn sniffer was taking notice ~

Photobucket

Perhaps he got a whiffy sniff of the roast cooking with Yorkshire puds...

Photobucket

or perhaps he was wondering what kind of a tree had cones like these:

Maybe he spotted this shellish creature in the mock orange bush:

or wondered if there really was at least one more sweet strawberry to come ...

Photobucket

Do you think he spied Lil? Oh no!

Meanwhile ~ in the rose garden, Elle shines :)

and apples and oak leaves add blush to her beauty:

  2. Well you have certainly captured Autumn in your picture gallery Glo! I love the colours, It seems a shame that they may well be covered in 'white stuff' soon. *shivers* :o)
I feel as though everyone seems to wind down in the Autumn, it's as if they are conserving energy for the winter to follow. It's been chilly here the last two days. It was only 8 degrees when I got in the car this morning. Thank the good lord for my heated car seats! (hahaha)
Thanks for the lovely show & tell entry Glo.

  3. Thanks Flighty! We have had an exceptional start to autumn... I'm not sure what kind of tree that is with those light coloured cones. The whole tree looked like it was decorated with bobbles! Yes, that glowing rose was the first one to open and has lasted the best....Elle, the one I dedicated to Nikki when I first started my rose garden.

Hi Daffy ~ Yes, the colours are gradually changing here, and the weather has been such that the leaves that have fallen are "crunchable".
Nice to have heated car seats! Our temps are about 12 in the morning, and have gone into the low 20's during the day. Once the sun goes down, the chill is felt! The mornings are beautiful, though...the mist on the fields as the sun rises... must take a photo on my way to work. Glad you enjoyed my post :)

  4. Wow. I love seeing your photos - they're always incredible and breathtaking; this time of year, even though we're heading towards winter, is still, really a great time for colour in the garden.

    have a great day there
