  2. What lovely visitors you get in your garden! I like all the different poses you captured, too. That Warbler is an especially handsome fellow.

    1. I was looking at the various suet blocks I have (they come 3 in a pack) - Woodpecker Suet, includes black oil sunflower and peanut meal; Nutty Safari Suet, includes peanuts and corn and High Energy Suet, includes sunflower seed, millet, milo and corn. The birds seem to enjoy them, and they last quite awhile when the little birds eat; the bigger birds, like the Steller's Jay, Varied Thrush and Northern Flicker can chisel the block down quite quickly!

    1. Yes, it is nice to see them out of the front window and in the birdbath close by. The nuthatch is a cutie, and the flash of blue helps me spot the jay, which is about the size of a large crow!

  5. What a wonderful selection of birds - none that I have heard of - yesterday was good for me too - after a really cold night the birds flocked to the garden to eat the apples, bread and seeds that I had scattered - flocks of starlings, blackbirds, finches and two warring robins and a woodpecker - delightful.

    1. I was surprised to see the hummingbird in the cold weather, so I replenished the feeder, filling it to the top in hopes that the liquid would hit the spot!
