To acknowledge my 500th post and wish you all a Happy New Year, I have convinced my colourful little feathered friend, Townsend's Warbler, to share a tale with you ~
A Townsend's warbler eh? I've never seen this bird before, so what a treat for me. What vivid colours and markings, it's looks like Batman! A lovely story, I look forward to more. Oh my, CONGRATS on the 500 posts! Long may they continue.xxxxx
Thanks so much Snowbird ~ Yes, it's one of the most recognizable birds with its distinct markings. Batman is right ~ glad you enjoyed the story and no doubt there will be more!
Thanks greenthumb! I'm thinking about the Photo Scavenger Hunt for January now, and I'll put the photos together in a similar fashion, and then each individually like I did last year :)
Delightful! A really lovely sequence Glo. My favourite photo was the beseeching and rather accusatory one with the 'nothing' caption...such a sweet little bird :-)
Thanks so much ShySongbird! The Townsend's Warbler is such a striking bird, and its expressions seem to be amplified by its mask-like markings :) I'm glad you enjoyed the post ~
Oh, that warbler is such a looker! And has no trouble expressing his feelings :-) Here's to more of your delightful feathery fascinations in 2013!
ReplyDeleteThanks Nikki! He is quite striking, isn't he? Certainly easy to spot, with all those markings on his face ~ here's to more fun!

ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you and yours...
Thanks Tricia ~ He's quite something, isn't he? ... and a Happy New Year to you too!

DeleteBrilliantly though out and illustrated Glo. Would make an excellent section for a nature book for children and those of us still children at heart.
