Fog lifted!

After the wet and windy weather, sea fog descended ~ however, today brightened up a bit, and so off I went to a different estuary.  The tide was out making much of the area a mudflat.  Here are some flora and fauna taken in and around the estuary and river.

The little dog looked so sweet, peering through the fence of some property near the path.

Dinner is cooking away in the oven while I am writing this blog post, so I am looking forward to a delicious meal after spending a lovely afternoon out in the fresh air :)

    1. Thanks Flighty ~ always lots of water birds, it seems. I'd like the sun to come out more often, though, as it has been grey and foggy. The dog was so cute just checking things out, very quietly :)

  2. Rain stopped play here in the Nesbitt household so it's a casserole cooking away for later tonight.

  3. How lovely to have a meal cooking after such a fantastic day out. Everything seems so peaceful and calm, those eagles are amazing. I especially loved the second pic of them flying, what a beautiful sight, it must take your breath away to be able to see that. The ducks seem very relaxed around them, do they ever predate ducks?
I loved the clump of mushrooms, are they edible?xxx

    1. Always nice to smell supper cooking! It was a calm day ~ conditions make such a difference ~ depending on the weather, ebb and flo of tide, time of day, etc. ~ always different. I love spotting eagles, and hearing their call gets me looking up into tree tops and sky. Eagles do catch such things as rabbits and small creatures along with fish...and other birds. Usually I see the eagles in abundance when the salmon spawn. When an eagle swoops down, many of the ducks and other water birds fly off with a flurry of wings!
