This too shall pass...

Thanks to those who have left comments on my previous posts :)  I have been reading your posts but was in no state of mind to comment ;)

Just to let you know that the hospital visit was only a day surgery, although I did have an 8 hour wait until the operation.  I left home at 10:30 a.m. (had to be there at noon) and arrived back at 11:10 p.m.  Luckily I had my Kobo ebook reader with me during the wait so I read, and read, and read.... I also couldn't have anything to eat or drink, and ended up not eating or drinking for a 24 hour period.

Keep calm and ... drink water.

  1. OO Painful. No wonder you have been quiet on the blogging front. Hope you are feeling a little better now. Great explanatory poem - maybe now you'll enjoy a glorious June. Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

  5. Hello Glo that's really rotten luck to have suffered like that, especially following your holiday. I hope that you soon recover fully, meantime take care.
I like the picture and poem. Flighty xx

  6. Ahhh, so sorry to hear that Glo. I sympathize as I had kidney stones a few years ago and know first hand how PAINFUL they are. I didn't have the op so you have had a worse time of it than me. Get well soon hun. I've missed you.

    1. Thanks Snowbird :) Having experienced them yourself, kidney stones are no fun at all! Feeling better now and spending a lot of time outdoors, either gardening or kicked back on the outside lounge reading :)

  7. GOODNESS, Glo! I had no idea you'd been unwell. I figured you had so many gorgeous photos to sort and so many stories to write that you were preparing them for us. Praying for a thorough recovery and a much more pain-free June.

    1. Hi Nikki ~ Yes, a bit of a shocker for my return home. I have had a bit of a look through the thousands (yes!) of photos I took...but am now spending time outdoors enjoying the sunshine...and all the work to do in the garden. Thanks for your kind thoughts.
