In the garden...

"Holy Smokes," I hear from the front room.  "A giant grey squirrel just ran down the tree! At first I thought it was a small cat!"

"That's Quigley!" I replied.

With camera in hand, I quietly leave the house by the front door and see Quigley heading next door...

As well as Quigley, other visitors came to call, as can be seen in the following collage.  Although it is still raining more often than not, the blossoms continue to delight.

    1. Gosh, more than one? Do they attack your bird feeders?

  2. Oh, dear, Quigley, you've got quite the reputation now as "that giant grey squirrel"!

My my, Glo, look at all those delightful blooms! Lilacs?!? Mock orange? Love those. And pear blossoms are magical.

    1. Nikki ~ you ain't seen nuthin' yet! Today Quigley put on a show :)

Yes, the blossoms are trying their best to bloom through this seemingly never-ending rain. Often in the afternoon the sun will make an appearance, give us some hope, and then be swallowed by the rain clouds again! Definitely green around here. It's nice to share some of my blooms with you...although can never get enough of your beautiful gardens and roses.

  3. A lovely collage Glo! All the blossom looks so pretty. Lilac is a rather sore point here at the moment :-( as you will see if you read the comment I just left on your April Scavenger Hunt. Quigley does look very well fed, I assume he is enjoying dining at your feeders ;-)

I love the sonnet on the previous post, you do write the most beautiful verse Glo!

    1. Thanks ShySongbird! I try to take photos of the blossom in between rain showers! So sorry to read about your lilac tree being destroyed by weather - and all the clean up involved. Yes, Quigley is quite robust...and it turns out an acrobat! Post soon to come. Thanks for the kind words re my poetry. :)

  4. Nice to have some regular visitors and pretty flowers in the garden to brighten up the dreary weather we both seem to be having recently.

BTW I changed the clue on my Guess What as I had misidentified it in the first place.

    1. Yes, the blossoms do help cheer things up, but this never-ending rain is beginning to be the only topic of conversation wherever I go!

I see that you have changed your clue, but I'm stymied. I'll keep thinking!

    1. Thanks Flighty! Looking forward to seeing your fox photo! Perhaps if there were foxes around here, Quigley would be long gone!
