I spent a most enjoyable weekend in Victoria celebrating my brother’s birthday and Mother’s Day. A family gathering at the Aura Restaurant at
the Laurel Point Inn in Victoria prompted me to reserve a room for the night at
the Inn. It was a lovely room with a
little balcony that overlooked the goings on in the Inner Harbour.
In the following short video, a Harbour Ferry water taxi jauntily floats by, followed by a Harbour Air Seaplane
that travels between the Vancouver and Victoria harbours, and the large Coho Ferry that carries vehicles and passengers to Port Angeles, USA on the Olympic
Peninsula. I could have spent the whole
day watching the water traffic.
what a gorgeous sunset. Sounds like a lovely day. That was a big jump for those little ducklings - I hope they all made it eventually!
ReplyDeleteThanks Louise. It certainly was a very enjoyable weekend. Those ducklings were so cute and glad to say they all finally made it up on the bank. I would have liked to see the last one leap up, but I moved around the corner for a different view and by then it had already made it. Thankfully, last weekend was bright and sunny because today we are back to rain!
DeleteThose little ducklings! They look like they could've used a little boost -- but probably not for long. So adorable. Thanks for that cute video. That dinner looks fantastic. And a delicious sunset to finish your day. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHi Nikki ~ Luckily I saw the ducklings out of the corner of my eye as we were driving into the park because it was the only pond with ducklings in it. They persevered until they made it, but quite a challenge ... I'm sure they would have appreciated a boost! With the good company, yummy food and the fine sunset...it was lovely.
DeleteThat looks, and sounds, like a perfect weekend with some wonderful things to enjoy.
ReplyDeleteI loved the duckling video, and that sunset picture is superb. Flighty xx
Yes, indeed, Flighty, it was just perfect. I thought you might enjoy the duckling video. Such cute and determined little characters. Their parents must be quite delighted with their abilities! It's always fulfilling to see a clear sunset over the water :)
DeleteHi Glo, it sounds like you had a wonderful time! Unfortunately I have blank spaces where the videos should be, due I assume, to the fact I am on an iPad. I will try and look again later on my laptop. That is a beautiful sunset!
ReplyDeleteHi ShySongbird ~ Hope you were able to see the videos on your laptop :) Glad to share the sunset with you ~ it was indeed a beauty!
DeleteThat looks to have been a very relaxing time Glo. There is something therapeutic about watching water traffic and life.
ReplyDeleteYes thanks, John, it was relaxing ... and therapeutic! It's not often that I've had a view like that from a hotel ~ I think I could have easily moved right in!
