  2. Loving the poem and the picture that goes with it - a true spring photo. The birds are so busy at this time of year aren't they - building nests, feeding their young - the garden is alive with them at the moment - going about their business. Don't you just love this time of year.

    1. Thanks Nikki ~ oh yes, it will be interesting to see how the cherries fare this year. Last year there was so much rain, that they all split and were basically inedible ~ well, not to birds...and raccoons, let's hope they have found some other source of food.

  8. Beautiful series, do the small birds just perch on the hummingbird feeder or do they drink the food? It has been a beautiful spring and your pictures illustrate that well.

    1. Thanks Gillian ~ that's the first time I have seen any birds other than hummingbirds on the feeder, and I wasn't sure if they were having a drink or eating the little ants that like to find the sweet nectar. Yes, a lovely spring!

    1. Thanks Mo ~ it is has been an amazing spring here so far, dotted with a few rain showers, which are necessary. Another couple of dullish days here, before it brightens up again. Glad the post brightened your day.
