I am now a 'lady of leisure' so I guess for the first time in many a year, I just basically do as I please! Sounds pretty good, doesn't it?

Thanks for mentioning the birds as well... the Townsend's Warbler is a stunning looking creature. Head on it looks like it's wearing iridescent goggles. It seems to get along well with the other little birds too.

Harzel might be feeling a little put out today without a visit, but I'll seen him again soon! He does look rather like he's dripping with jewels with the raindrops.

They were good cookies...oatmeal, choc chip, pecan, raisins... Thanks again for your lovely comment!Glohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09532995590131801962noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2416483978289413011.post-4613039546403934122011-01-27T05:54:20.007-08:002011-01-27T05:54:20.007-08:00Hi Glo, I can't keep up with you! How do you fit it all in? :)

I hope you don't mind if I mention the posts I missed this week. I am very impressed with the birds you see in your garden, a really lovely selection. I have only seen a Woodpecker in my garden once which was during the recent icy weather and unfortunately didn't manage a photo. I don't think I have seen a Townsend's Warbler on a blog before, it is a lovely little bird. It was also nice to see Harzel, that was a lovely photo with the droplets clinging to the branches. As for returning home to the smell of homemade bread...just wonderful!

Your Red-breasted Nuthatch looks very much like our Nuthatch, another bird I would love to see in the garden. Beautiful photos of it too.

Finally it doesn't matter how monstrous you try to make the cookies look, they still look yummy to me :)ShySongbirdhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08148381873578585910noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2416483978289413011.post-50017120507690736372011-01-27T04:09:38.134-08:002011-01-27T04:09:38.134-08:00Lucky you, it's cold and dull here.
