On the other side of the planter was the bird feeder! Nice try cat! I was happy to get a good shot of the blue jay ~ yes, they are quite a vivid blue. Fungi are interesting, indeed...my son just received a book for his birthday ~ called Edible Mushrooms. I'd still be a bit leery about picking them to eat!Glohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09532995590131801962noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2416483978289413011.post-44623114108491877252008-11-27T00:36:00.000-08:002008-11-27T00:36:00.000-08:00The neighbourhood cats love our garden too! I am quite fascinated by fungi, even grotesque varieties! xLouisehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03800196831833931842noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2416483978289413011.post-80066003547491956712008-11-24T23:38:00.000-08:002008-11-24T23:38:00.000-08:00Selba, how nice of you to find me and leave such a...Selba, how nice of you to find me and leave such a lovely comment. Yes, that cat was sitting in the sunshine lapping it up...probably trying to look uninterested in the birds who were flitting about.

Flighty ~ Thanks, you picked my two favorite photos. Yes, the jays are a lovely blue colour. I think their feathers are as distinct as those of your green parrots. We seem to have a few neighbourhood cats who venture through my garden. Today I noticed a black one with white sock markings! I don't know who they belong to.Glohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09532995590131801962noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2416483978289413011.post-50256788686489407262008-11-23T11:32:00.000-08:002008-11-23T11:32:00.000-08:00I really like that first photo and the middle jay ...I really like that first photo and the middle jay one.
